HJM Alt.
“I finally convinced Hunter to ride a non traditional shape!”. The HJM Alt. is that model. This is the HJM dramatically modified into a snub nose “double ender” groveler. “Inspired by Sacred Geometry I took my HJM spin template and flipped it around so we get a unique symmetrical outline”. The snub nose increases the nose width while creating a more parallel outline which elongates the rail line (puts more rail in the water) which provides a substantial increase in lift and drive. While the tail rocker is traditional the nose entry rocker is dramatically reduced. To counter this and increase lift the bottom contours are unique. This modern planning hull features a vee bottom with blended channels running nose to tail. This creates lift. Lift =drive =speed. This is one of the fastest models I’ve created. It excels in the small stuff and for those of you nuts in the big stuff as well. Comes standard as a 5 fin with the HJM bump rounded diamond tail or shown here in a swallowtail option. Best ridden 2-4”shorter than the HJM or 4-8” shorter than your traditional shortboard.
