Sidecut Mini Simmons
Inspired by the traditional mini simmons that is dominating the small wave lineup these days this model is designed for those gutless days when it looks to small to even paddle out. it can turn a mushy small wave slop fest in to a fun filled wave sliding shred fest. “I took the traditional wider outline of the mini simmons and through in a parabolic side cut”
The sidecut helps create drive and helps the board turn on a dime while the board is on rail going full speed. A traditional vee/belly entry gives way to a subtle single concave under the front foot into deep double concaves and vee off the tail. A relatively flat deck and slight step rails help keep the volume up under your chest. Volume displacement theory at its best!
These boards were meant to be ridden much shorter than your go to shortboard…6-10″ shorter. Ideal wave size is anything from 1′ ankle slappers to about head high to 1 foot overhead.
